Bonding White Fillings2.jpg

Bonding / White Fillings

Bonding is a composite resin used as an alternative to amalgams and veneers, suitable for patients who prefer a natural look without silver in their mouths. It can be applied to decayed, cracked, or stained teeth. Composite white fillings, the most common type, look natural and bond well with tooth tissue, provided in a single visit. For larger cavities, porcelain or composite inlay/onlay fillings are used, requiring two visits as they are crafted by a dental technician in a laboratory.

Extractions2.jpg

Extractions

When a permanent tooth is irreversibly damaged and cannot be saved through other treatments, Extraction is necessary. The procedure, performed under local anesthesia to minimize pain and stress, involves checking the tooth's root condition and may include an X-ray for a thorough examination. The complexity of extraction depends on factors like tooth profile, gum condition, patient anxiety, and tooth structure brittleness.

Scaling2.jpg

Scaling

Whilst regular scaling is effective enough for general removal of plaque and tartar on the inner and outer surfaces of the teeth, the Air-Flow method effectively removes stains reaching small gaps in between the teeth and under the gums that cannot be reached with regular scaling.

Polishing2.jpg

Polishing

Once all the surfaces are smooth, the dental hygienist may polish your teeth. Polishing is done using a slow speed handpiece with a soft rubber cup that spins on the end. Prophylaxis (short for prophy) paste – a special gritty toothpaste-like material – is scooped up like ice cream into the cup and spun around on the teeth to make them shiny smooth.

When a crown is necessary, dentist now have the ability to fabricate an all porcelain crown for both the front and back of the mouth. Impacted Wisdom Teeth.jpg

Impacted Wisdom Teeth

Impacted wisdom teeth are third molars at the back of the mouth that don't have enough room to emerge or grow normally.
Wisdom teeth are the last adult teeth to come into the mouth (erupt). Most people have four wisdom teeth at the back of the mouth — two on the top, two on the bottom.
Impacted wisdom teeth can result in pain, damage to other teeth and other dental problems. In some cases, impacted wisdom teeth may cause no apparent or immediate problems, but they may be particularly vulnerable to disease.
Impacted wisdom teeth that cause pain or other dental complications are usually removed. Some dentists and oral surgeons also recommend removing impacted wisdom teeth that don't cause symptoms to prevent future problems.
